I treated the old blog on my website like a newsletter at best and a diary at worst. Between 2015 and 2017, I wrote less than ten posts where I vaguely announced new projects and life events. It was fine, I guess, but it wasn’t useful, it didn’t age well, and it left me wanting for excuses to write. Most frustrating, I realized I don’t have much recent writing to show off. Let’s fix that.
Let’s write.
I want to use this blog to talk about everything I’m interested in. I don’t want this to be like the late 2000’s when I would make a new blog for every topic. This is my website. This is my blog. This is where I write.
Maybe I’ll compare each Dwayne Johnson movie that released this year. I could analyze the story of pro wrestlers Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa on WWE’s show NXT. If I’m daring, I can share some ideas I have about Dungeons and Dragons, but I’ll definitely write about how Fortnite is the best video game since Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2.
At the very least, I can post a Fourth of July blog about Jaws that I wrote and never published for A Blumhouse Divided.
